Bachelor of Science in Navigation at the Maritime University of Szczecin provides you with a thorough knowledge in the scope of nautics and other inter-related fields of science allowing flexibility in your future career choices. The programme comprises onboard and land-based student placements as well as specialist courses and practical training.
Graduates can work as deck officers on maritime and inland waterway vessels, in enterprises connected with international navigation. They can be employed by highly specialized merchant service or navy, fishing fleet, on passenger vessels, offshore patrol vessels protecting oil fields, in oil and production platforms, on modern specialist hydrographic and research vessels. They can also join land maintenance and technical services, marine administration units, classification institutions and SAR service.
Polish licence of Officer of the Navigational Watch is offered to those graduates who meet the requirements specified by the STCW Convention (completing 365 days of sea service).
