Description: 

Finance is the oldest WUEB program delivered in English since 2007. The bachelor’s in Finance program is run according to global financial standards and is designed for students who want to discover the world of finance. In addition to basic courses, such as economics, management, law, mathematics, statistics, and information technology, the program includes courses in the field of corporate finance, banking, insurance, financial market, real estate, financial reporting, and risk analysis. The program includes courses forming three specializations: Financial Management, Financial Market and Fintech. While studying, students not only gain the theoretical knowledge but also acquire qualifications necessary for a career in an enterprise and on the financial market. The program is advanced and, therefore, students easily find internship programs during their studies and employment after graduation. The program is chosen by international students. The courses are run by both Polish and international professors and lecturers.


Student's profile

A graduate of bachelor’s degree in Finance has a professional knowledge  of finance (including accounting and financial reporting), financial risk management, and financial decision making. Students know how financial institutions (including  banks,  insurance  companies,  investment  funds and pension funds), companies and public institutions work and they can analyze basic economic processes and entities at the macroeconomic and microeconomic level, as well as analyze the financial condition of a company and a household. Students understand causes, effects, and relations between economic and financial processes in a market economy. Students have the knowledge of processes in the global financial markets. Student can identify risks and is able to make decisions leading to the acceptable level of risk. Students can identify and analyze different sources of financial data. After completing the program, graduates can pass CFA Level 1 and 2 exam, CIMA exams, and most ACCA Edam. Graduates are prepared to work in financial institutions, financial departments of companies as well as in multinational companies, including working abroad. Graduates are prepared to study for a master’s degree.
