PROFILE - SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Academy of Music in Poznań boasts a 100-year old teaching tradition, excellent teaching staff and a beautiful modern concert hall, Aula Nova, which conforms to European standards. Foundation at The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan readily supports any student or staff in their artistic endeavours, research projects and organizational efforts.

Academy students engage in a range of artistic initiatives world-wide. The Academy takes part in the European Student Exchange Programme Erasmus+. The Academy was awarded the highest ranking A category for the national musical arts under research evaluation scheme. Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music is the only Polish university to offer: courses in Historically Informed Performance,
courses in Artistic Luthiery undergraduate, courses in Electroacoustic Composition welcoming Applicants with no prior qualification in music, Musical Studium whose graduates are eligible to take the internationally recognised Performance Arts Awards (PAA) certificate.

We provide education in the following fields (field: arts, discipline: musical arts): Faculty of Composition, Conducting, Vocal Studies, Theory of Music and Artistic Education and Faculty of Instrumental Studies, Historically Informed Performance, Jazz and Stage Music.
