Furthermore, graduates develop the ability of abstract reasoning, precise though formulation and communication. They acquire knowledge in the area of finance and insurance. They are able to use advanced IT tools which are useful in the application of mathematical methods in the above-listed disciplines of knowledge and practical activities. Graduates are prepared to work in professions which require the knowledge of mathematical methods applied in insurance and banking. They have detailed knowledge of areas such as mathematical statistics, calculation methods of financial mathematics, foundations of financial modelling, financial investments, portfolio analysis and derivatives, mathematics in life insurance as well as the theory of risk and property insurance.
Graduates are prepared to continue education at the third cycle studies.
