Study Physiotherapy at the University of Rzeszów and gain the knowledge, skills, and experience that will open doors to a rewarding career both in Poland and around the world. Choose a path that combines medicine, science, and empathy – choose Physiotherapy!

The Master’s Degree Programme in Physiotherapy will equip graduates with advanced knowledge, hands-on clinical skills, and strong professional competencies for independent and evidence-based physiotherapeutic practice.

The programme emphasises practical experience through extensive laboratory training and supervised clinical placements in various healthcare settings. Students also actively participate in scientific and research projects, gaining valuable experience in applied and academic research within physiotherapy.

Graduates are prepared to perform comprehensive functional assessments, determine indications for therapy, design and implement individualised physiotherapy programmes, prescribe adapted physical activity, select and apply appropriate medical devices, carry out preventive physiotherapeutic interventions, and provide patient education. They also acquire the skills to design, conduct, and critically evaluate scientific research, preparing them to contribute to advancing physiotherapy as a scientific discipline.

The programme fosters essential social and professional competencies for effectively working with patients, especially those with chronic illnesses or disabilities, and for successful collaboration within interdisciplinary therapeutic and research teams.

Graduates are qualified to deliver professional physiotherapy services based on the latest scientific evidence and legal regulations.

With a strong foundation in clinical and research competencies, graduates are prepared to promote, restore, and maintain physical health and functional performance in individuals of all ages affected by injury or disease. They are equipped to carry out physiotherapeutic procedures with clinical precision, tailor their approach to each patient’s needs, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions concerning established rehabilitation goals.

Graduates enjoy global career opportunities. They are prepared to work in a wide range of public and private healthcare settings around the world, including hospitals, rehabilitation centres, physiotherapy clinics, sanatoria, wellness and sports facilities, residential and social care homes, educational and rehabilitation institutions, and specialised facilities such as sheltered workshops and outpatient corrective centres.

The programme also opens doors to international careers in clinical research, academia, and health-focused non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Graduates are well-prepared to continue their academic development through doctoral programmes and to enhance their qualifications through postgraduate studies and professional training courses. They are also eligible to begin specialisation training in physiotherapy following national regulations.
