Rzeszow UT Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers an opportunity to study Building and Engineering Structures at the M.Sc. level. The graduates in Civil Engineering obtain the professional competencies in domains of: (1) design and construction of building and engineering structures, (2) construction technology and organization, (3) participation in research works, (4) management in construction sector, and (5) computer methods in civil engineering. They are competent to: (1) solve complicated design, technological and organization problems, (2) plan and carry out research programs, (3) create and promote new building products, (4) manage a construction works, and (5) incessantly rise up knowledge and professional competencies. The graduate is able to design and construct a wide range of buildings for domestic, industrial, agricultural and civil use, bridges and other building works, as well as modernize and renovate them and to manage construction companies. Moreover, they have abilities necessary to identify all the necessary aspects of the design, match objectives with appropriate technological solutions, and to make use of modern computer aided techniques.

The graduate are taught the scientific basis of engineering disciplines, they are also trained in skills, which make effective application of their knowledge possible, and formed in attitudes that assure responsible and honest performance and approach to their work in professional life. The personal, interpersonal and most general human skills and attitudes are important factors in the education of the graduates. The graduates of the M.Sc. courses in Civil Engineering have the possibilities to take the lateral extension courses, post-graduate university study or/and to take a doctor’s study in civil or related disciplines.
