Description: 

DESIGN.

The hallmark of this field of study is its interdisciplinarity. Students develop their knowledge of history and theory of art and design; develop their creative activity and also, depending on the specialization they choose, learn about material techniques, technologies and solutions  used in industry.

The management of the Faculty running the field of study have signed cooperation agreements with MONNARI TRADE in Lodz, REDAN SA in Lodz. The university collaborates with numerous graphics studios, printing houses and industrial organizations  such as Dywilan Łódź SA - woolen rugs manufacturer, Teofilów SA - textiles and apparel manufacturer, IKEA in Lodz, CAMELA SA in Walbrzych.

Graduate profile: 

Graduates are qualified to start professional practice as a textile designer designing textiles, textile products for interior design, apparel, lingerie or designer of systems of visual and media communications. They are able to work either on their own or as a member of a design team. Graduates with a degree in design are frequently offered job opportunities even before their graduation. They work as woven and knitted fabrics, apparel and lingerie designers, stylists, design consultants, visual communication designers, applied graphics designers.

Graduates with a first-cycle degree may continue their education in the second-cycle programme which lead to the award of the degree of magister sztuki (Master of Fine Arts). They may choose to pursue a second-cycle degree in any other field of study offered by the Faculty.
