International and Political Studies combine knowledge in international relations, political science, economics and cultural studies. The programme allows you to gain interdisciplinary education in social sciences and humanities. Through an interdisciplinary integration of the content of social science and humanities, whose common denominator remains policy, students will have a solid base for developing sectoral interests – in the blocks of chosen specialisations. In addition, the studies are oriented towards broadening the perception of the complexity of the contemporary world and the multidimensionality of socio-cultural phenomena and processes and also serve to clarify the principles and mechanisms of functioning of national and international organisations and institutions dealing with broadly understood policy issues.
Within this study programme you will be able to choose from several specialisations (American Studies, Asian Studies, Politics and Policy in Europe).
Specialisations (chosen from the 2nd semester)
American Studies - Focus on North and Latin American societies, politics, culture, and media.
Asian Studies - Covers social, political, economic, and cultural development in Asia.
Politics and Policy in Europe - Explores European political systems, governance, and public policy.
