MODELLING AND DATA SCIENCE
Would you like to gain some of the most desirable competences in the 21st century? Do you want to learn about the latest technologies that will shape the world of the near future: machine learning, industry 4.0, quantum computers? Would you like to be able describe the world as a scientist drawing the information from both fundamental laws of nature and vast amounts of data? Do you want to work in the IT sector, but you are not interested in creating websites?
If the answer to the any of the above questions is YES, then Modelling and Data Science is for you! During your studies you will acquire skills in the field of data science and computer modelling, which is based on both data and fundamental rules. The studies will allow you to acquire advanced competences in IT and beyond it: computer simulations, modern physics, photonics, laser technologies and quantum calculations.
As a graduate of Modelling and Data Science, you'll be a specialist in process modelling, data analysis, computer material design, and computer simulations. You will also be a person with broad horizons, shaped by courses in those fields of science in which data analysis plays an important role (e.g. materials physics or photonics), as well as through soft-skills classes, like teamwork.
What you gain:
We will teach you how to program in modern languages like Python and C ++.
You will learn methods of working with large data sets and the basics of artificial intelligence
You will encounter the latest technologies that still sound like science-fiction to many people today (digital twin, quantum computers, photonic technologies) and will be able to use them.
You will learn and gain skills not just by reading, but by implementing increasingly advanced projects.
Cooperation with companies:
Ericsson
TomTom
Corning
BeNeering
BioNanoPark
Job perspectives:
