Second-degree studies (3 semesters) are addressed to persons who have a first-degree in engineering. Applicants can choose from the following courses:
Artificial intelligence in medical diagnostics
Biomechanics
These courses are a response to the observed progress in medical technologies in the field of imaging diagnostics, material solutions, and the use of numerical and experimental research in medicine. In addition, the offer of the specialty is dictated by the specific needs of the medical industry – the use of modern mechanics, widely using simulation methods and the unprecedented increase in the possibility of using artificial intelligence algorithms in medical diagnostics.
The curriculum focuses on interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in the field of engineering sciences, in the disciplines of biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering and technical informatics and telecommunications. The aim is to develop practical skills, which help in design, production and proper use of medical equipment, as well as the implementation of scientific research and implementations in this field.
