"You Are Welcome" The Medical University of Gdańsk invites you to an online conference

How to get around the university? Where to do important matters in offices? How to set up a bank account? Welcome Points are places for professional and comprehensive service for foreign students, doctoral students, and academic staff. These welcome points will appear more often inside Polish universities.

The Medical University of Gdańsk invites you to participate in the "You Are Welcome" conference organized online as part of the "Welcome Center - Academic Quarter" project. The event will take place on March 23, 2021, from 9:00 - 13:00.

During the conference, the experience of the Medical University of Gdańsk in the implementation of the "Welcome Center - Academic Quarter" project will be presented. Representatives of other Polish universities with Welcome Points as well as practitioners in the field of cultural, linguistic, and personal competencies will also be there.

The event is aimed at, among others presenting good practices in the field of "internationalization at home", including the creation and scope of operation of Welcome Points.

The guest of the event will be Dr. Grażyna Żebrowska, director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

In 2018, the Medical University of Gdańsk received funding from the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the Welcome to Poland competition for the implementation of the "Welcome Center" project. The project implementation was scheduled for 2 years, during which the university assumed: increasing the level of internationalization, the so-called Internationalization at home by developing interpersonal, cultural, linguistic, and professional skills of teams and people dealing with students and foreign employees on a daily basis.
