During 8-13 November, 2014 Embassy of Poland in Jakarta and the leading Polish universities took part in the 6th edition of the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF 2014) in Jakarta, Surabaya (East Java) and Makassar (South Sulawesi). Fair brought together dozens of exhibitors and attracted a total of several thousand young Indonesians who consider studying in Europe.
Poland was represented by representatives of the Polish Embassy in Jakarta (including the Ambassador Tadeusz Szumowski and Education Attache Maciej Duszyński), the Warsaw University of Technology and the Poznan University of Technology delegations. 668 Indonesian students considering studying in Poland registered at Polish booths. Among the most popular majors were medical faculties (medicine), economics (management, MBA) and technical (engineering), science, and social studies (sociology, international relations, political science, public health). A wide range of Polish studies met with great interest and enthusiasm of the future students who have expressed their willingness to study in Poland. In addition - which is worth emphasizing – among them, 625 students declared willingness to enroll in a Polish language course in Indonesia, as soon as one will be launched.
