New Restrictions in Poland Due to COVID-19

From the 10th of October, the yellow zone will extend to the entire country. The obligation to cover the nose and mouth will apply in public spaces - in shops, buses, and also on the streets throughout the country. Only people who have a medical certificate or a document confirming their disability do not have to wear masks.

A new package of restrictions has been introduced, which is related to the escalation in the number of cases. In recent days, the number of new cases of coronavirus infection in Poland has increased dramatically.

Yellow zone regulations:

  • The limit of one person per 4 square meters for events such as fairs, exhibitions, congresses, or conferences.
  • There is a limit of people in gyms - one per 7 square meters
  • The number of people participating in family events may not exceed 100 people, excluding service
  • Everywhere in public spaces, it is necessary to cover the nose and mouth
  • The number of people attending family celebrations and weddings has been limited to 75, excluding service (from 17th October 2020)

Red zone regulations:

  • The ban on the organization of congresses and fairs, the operation of sanatoriums, and parks.
  • There is a limit of people in gyms - one per 10 square meters
  • In churches or other places of worship, 50% is allowed
  • The number of people attending family celebrations and weddings has been limited to 50, excluding service (from 17th October 2020)
  • Everywhere in public spaces, it is necessary to cover the nose and mouth

In the red zone, restaurants and cafés may only be open until 22.00.
