IT specialist is one of the most sought after professions on the labor market. Students learn to design complex information systems, web applications, create computer games and programs for mobile devices. The program prepares students for careers in software development companies, IT systems administration or in their own IT business. The Faculty’s cooperation with IT companies students to understand the specifics of the IT profession, as well as to acquire practical skills in programming and designing IT systems through participation in classes, workshops, internships and courses conducted by company representatives.

IS (Information Systems) covers the organization and architecture of modern computer systems, operating systems, computer networks and databases. He can program computers, design information systems and have basic knowledge of artificial intelligence, computer graphics and multimedia systems. He knows the principles of software engineering and is prepared for a career in companies and programming teams dealing with the design, implementation and operation of IT systems. They have sufficient knowledge of Internet technologies to design and manage network information systems.

Computer graphics prepares students for programming in modern programming languages. Has knowledge of operating systems, knows the principles of building computer systems, including modern graphics processors, the basics of databases, computer networks and the principles of software engineering, as well as advanced computer graphics programming techniques, multimedia systems, the basics of creating computer games, the principles of image composition and basic information about art and art history. Has knowledge in the field of image processing, the basics of using raster, 3D and vector graphics software.

ICT covers the design and administration of complex network systems, big data analytics and the design of cybersecurity security solutions. ICT graduates gain knowledge, skills and competences supported by numerous international Cisco certificates that can be obtained during their studies. Students acquire programming skills in Python and C ++, as well as knowledge of the Linux operating system, the basics of routing and switching, ICT network design and WAN technologies.

Learning outcomes (1st cycle studies)

Students have knowledge and skills in the field of general IT issues and, additionally, depending on the chosen specialization, knowledge and technical skills in the field of IT systems, computer graphics and ICT. He knows the principles of modern computer building and knows devices cooperating with computers well. Has knowledge of operating systems, computer networks and databases; they develop programming skills and know the rules of software engineering that allow them to work effectively in programming teams. He also has basic knowledge of artificial intelligence and human-computer communication. Graduates are prepared for professional work in IT and in companies and organizations that use IT tools and systems.

Learning outcomes (2nd cycle studies)

Graduates have extensive knowledge of IT systems or computer graphics and are prepared to perform design and development tasks in the field of technical informatics. He can analyze and evaluate design solutions obtained in the conditions of limited information about the designed system, select the appropriate technique for designing hardware, software and mixed systems, and solve problems related to the development of tools and design techniques in the field of computer science . They are prepared to undertake difficult design tasks and solve current research problems.
