Virtual Prototyping is a technique that streamlines the process of product development and implementation, which involves the use of computer-aided engineering (CAE). This is done by preparing a virtual model (usually in 3D) and simulating its behaviour in real conditions. Engineers can quickly examine the quality and efficiency of many alternative designs without investing the time and money needed to build physical prototypes. The final stage in the product implementation process is its manufacturing using numerically controlled machine tools (CNC) or 3D printers.
Graduates of this specialty have the knowledge and skills that allow them to work in companies and departments involved in the design and implementation of products and the preparation of machining processes using numerically controlled machine tools (CNC).
Language(s): Polish and English (only Virtual Prototyping specialty)
