Studying in Poland had definitely extended my professional plans once I had contact with a lot of people from many different countries and each one of them with a different perspective about their future carriers and aspirations.

How did you learn about The Science Without Borders Scholarship Programme?

Through government campaigns and other friends who had already participated in other countries.

Why did you decide to participate in this programme?

The program Science Without Borders was an opportunity to self development in academic aspects and also personal aspects, like improving my engish skills, being able to learn another language, getting to know other countries and cultures.

What field of study in Poland did you choose?

Medicine

What were your plans and expectations related to studying in Poland? Have they already come true?

My main expectation was be able to have contact with different learning/teaching methods and incorporate that to my studies in Brasil when I come back. So far I've experienced a whole different study program that allows me to see the ups and downs on my university program and bring all the positive aspects to my academic life.

What kind of possibilities have studies in Poland given you?

Studying in Poland had definitely extended my professional plans once I had contact with a lot of people from many different countries and each one of them with a different perspective about their future carriers and aspirations.

What are your expectations for the future? How does this scholarship may help you to achieve them?

This scholarship has made me realize that my expectations, that once I though I had them set for sure, are now unknown. That is for a simple reason: the world is much bigger than I used to know, and also are the possibilities to a greater future. Being in contact with so many cultures - since Poland is a country chosen by many students around Europe -, so different life perspectives and personal projects only had enlarged my way to see not only the medical carrier, but life in general.

What would you tell to all those who hesitate to study in Poland?

For sure, the first thing I'd say is: Do not hesitate! Poland is a receptive country and is the choice made by many students from different countries, so you'll feel welcome and you won't have much problems to adapt. Also, Poland is a country with an unique history, from which we can learn a lot. And all that, of course, if the beautiful architecture, amazing landscapes and joyful people aren't reasons enough to come.
